Sydney Writers’s Festival organises 300+ events annually for attracting the audiences of around 100,000 at the dazzling harborside location and other venues. The major events are conducted at Walsh bay in wharves on Sydney Harbor. Also, there are events extending across Sydney from the Opera House and Sydney Town Hall, into suburban Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
The best existing novelists, screenwriters, musicians and writers from various forms and backgrounds are brought together. With the finest writing and storytelling at its core, our programming is driven by the ideas and issues that animate all types of literature.
The festival is not-for- profit organisation, and they aim to be accessible to a broad range of audiences. It presents many events for free. Sydney Writer’s Festival has a dynamic program of events throughout the year. Also, they presented annual Children’s Festival of Moving Stories, with free events for Children and families across western Sydney. In addition, they are interested to provide opportunities for children of all ages to engage with books and stories through a variety of literary experiences.
