The multiple award winning Avoca Beachside Markets are back in 2015 on the foreshore of Heazlett Park, Avoca from 9am – 2pm. Just 40 mins drive from Hornsby, the markets are held on the 4th Sunday of every month (except January when it will be held on the 18th to avoid Aust. Day). The Avoca Beachside Markets are a haven for Arts & Crafts, Antiques & Collectables, Artisan goods, Vintage/Retro items, Handmade originals, Food, and Recycled items.
The beautiful waterfront location exudes a Byron Bay style atmosphere with live music, entertainment, international foods, and over 70 stalls of local handmade arts and crafts including jewellery, clothing and homewares. The kids will be entertained as well with Art Tank interactive eco art zone and craft circle, Aqua Fun water rides and much much more.
Wicked Fruit offers a chill out chai and collectables area under the trees that serves delicious hot and cold drinks and organic food.
The popular ticketed event is the Longest Tomato Lunch, where you can join a 70-metre long communal dining table for a feast of tomato-inspired dishes (Sat & Sun at 12.30pm). Relax over a delicious weekend lunch with spectacular views of the harbour.
You can bring your own shopping bags to reduce waste or buy a recycled screen-printed Avoca Markets Bag on the day from the Site Office for just $3. Parking can be hard to find on market day so it is suggested you walk along the beach from Hunter Park, car pool, get dropped off, ride a bike, or grab the bus to avoid frustration.
